We are seeking two Cap-and-Invest positions at the Department of Ecology Headquarters in Lacey, WA.

Role: As staff lead for allowance trading and entity education, you will ensure firms can trade and participate in the Cap-and-Invest market. You will help firms understand how the market works to keep their focus on decreasing emissions, supporting Washington’s goal to reduce emissions by 95% by?2050.

Role: As staff lead for auctions, you will coordinate and implement allowance auctions that firms use to meet their compliance obligations. These auctions are the linchpin of the Cap-and?Invest program, generating proceeds for the decarbonization of the transportation industry, access to clean energy, and advances in health equity and environmental justice.
